Battery, chip and sensors live on one Tech Puck. When they age, the Tech Puck is swapped and the watch stays yours.

See how it opens
How it opens

It opens with eight screws.

  1. Eight screws hold the back.

The screwdriver is in the box. Take the screws out and the caseback lifts off.

  2. The Tech Puck comes out in one piece.

Display, chip, battery, sensors and radios are all on it.

  3. Swap only the part that wore out.

Display, compute, battery, sensors, and a last layer with the vibration motor and charging coil. Each layer swaps on its own, or order a whole new Tech Puck and fit it with the eight screws.

The watch
Airframe on a black rubber strap, seen from the front on a light grey studio ground: black GMT dial with a green 24-hour ring, crown between two pushers.

The watch you keep.

Machined from one piece of aluminium, under a sapphire crystal.

What the Tech Puck carries.

Display, chip, battery, sensors and radios, as planned for launch.

The compute layer inside the case: the ESP processor in the middle, the NFC reader to the left and the GPS receiver to the right, lit orange.
  • Display

    A 1.43-inch round AMOLED at 466 × 466.

  • Chip

ESP32-S3 at up to 240 MHz, with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi built in.

  • GPS

Its own satellite receiver, so your phone can stay home.

  • NFC

Hold an NFC tag to the caseback and the watch reads it.

  • Body sensors

Heart rate, blood oxygen, ECG and skin temperature, for fitness and wellbeing.

  • Battery

400 mAh with wireless charging. About 5 to 7 days per charge with raise-to-wake, less with daily GPS. That is an estimate; the tester watches will measure it.

Airframe is not a medical device. Blood oxygen is not calibrated yet.

Five faces to start with.

Pick one on the watch or in the app, and change it whenever you like.

Tachymeter

Twenty apps behind the face.

One swipe from the face: your run with GPS, last night’s sleep and the way back to a saved spot. The watch measures all of it itself.

Sleep score
One number for last night, from time asleep, wake-ups and heart rate.
HRV and skin temperature
Measured overnight. Sleep stages follow after launch.
Seven nights
The last week on the wrist, the longer history in the app.

Sleep tracking is in beta at launch.

The app

Everything it measures, on your phone.

Steps, training, sleep, heart rate and blood oxygen from the watch, in one app.

The Airframe app's Activity screen with this week's steps, training and sleep, next to the watch showing heart rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature and breathing.
  • One app for all of it

Activity, training, last night’s sleep and your health side by side.

  • Set it from either side

Change faces, sensors and radios on the watch or in the app, and choose which readings sync to your phone.

  • Paired in a minute

iPhone or Android. Confirm once on your wrist and it reconnects on its own.

  • Export your days

CSV or PDF for your days and GPX for your routes, saved straight to your phone.

There is no account to make.

The watch works on its own and keeps what it measures. You decide what goes to your phone.

Works offline
The watch runs with your phone switched off or out of reach.
A switch for each sensor
Heart, temperature, pressure, motion and compass each turn off on their own. So do Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC.
Off means unpowered
Designed so that turning GPS or NFC off cuts the power to that chip.
Stored with you
Readings stay on the watch. You can sync them to your phone, but you don't have to. From the phone they leave only as a file you export or a sync you turn on, like Apple Health.
Who builds it
“Nobody replaces a watch because they stopped liking it. They replace it because the electronics aged.”

Questions

What does it cost?

There is no price for the watch yet. Joining the waitlist is free, and the people on it hear the price first. Parts have planned prices: a battery about €40, a display about €80, a whole Tech Puck about €150.

When can I get one?

Delivery is planned for the end of 2027. The ten tester watches go out before that. The list hears about every step first.

Who swaps the Tech Puck?

You do, at home. Eight screws hold the back and the screwdriver is in the box. Each layer swaps on its own, so you replace only what wore out: a new battery is about €40, a display about €80, a whole new Tech Puck about €150.

Does it work with my phone?

Yes, with iPhone and Android. You pair it in the app in about a minute. Notifications, music controls and your calendar reach the watch on both. On Android you can reply to messages from the watch; on iPhone replies are planned for the EU from iOS 26.5. The watch also works on its own, without an account.

Does it work with Apple Health?

Planned for launch. If you switch it on, heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, steps and workouts go to Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android. Apple lets only its own watch write an ECG to Apple Health, so ECG recordings stay in the Airframe app.

Can I shower or swim with it?

Yes. The final case is built for 5 ATM, so showering and swimming are fine. It is pressure-tested before launch and the result goes on this page.

What if Airframe stops?

The watch keeps working. It needs no account and no server from us. If we ever stop, we release everything: schematics, board files, the parts list, the firmware and the app. A ready-built Tech Puck can then be ordered in a few clicks from our PCB manufacturer, PCBWay, without us.

How do I become a tester?

Join the list and confirm your email. The ten tester watches go to people picked from it, at a much lower price than launch. They come in a plastic case, so GPS, NFC and wireless charging can be tuned before the final case. Testers wear one every day and tell us what breaks.
